How to Use the Colors Tab

Bit Ninja

Your BoldGrid site is set up with a default color scheme. You may, however, wish to change the color scheme to one that fits you or your business better.

In this video, we will show you how to use the second tabin the “Customizer”, the “Colors” tab.

First, Log into your site’s administrative interface

Next, Click on the “Customize” option located in the left-hand sidebar.

Once in the “Customizer”, click on the “Colors” tab.

The tab will expand to allow you to see the different settings you can change.

Here you will see several pre-made color combinations, called palettes.

At the top of the tab you are shown the “Active Palette”, which is the color scheme your site is currently using.

There are several pre-generated palettes you can choose from at the bottom in the “Saved Palettes” section.
From here you can customize the colors for your site in different ways.

Be sure to watch the right hand panel as you experiment so you can see how the changes affect your site.

First, you can take the existing palette and rearrange the colors.

You can also select from any of the options in the “Saved Palettes” area.

The “Neutral” color is basically a background color that covers most of the page.

The Neutral color button allows you to change the selected ‘neutral’ color to your liking.

Clicking on the “Suggest Palettes” button allows you create entirely new palettes.
It first gives you an additional five palletes.

If you have any colors you want to keep from your active palette you can select them by clicking the lock icon underneath them.

Once you have selected the ones you want to keep, click the “Suggest Palettes” button again.

This will create five new custom palettes that include the colors you selected.

After you have configured the settings to your needs, click the “Save & Publish” button to activate them.
