LeaseWeb, one of the world’s largest hosting brands, has announced an expansion of its partner ecosystem, LeaseWeb Partner Network. Following the launch of a global Referral Partner Program last September, LeaseWeb has now launched a Specialized Partner Program aimed at attracting value-added resellers (VARs), IT consultants, systems integrators and managed services providers (MSPs).
The new LeaseWeb Specialized Partner Program would not only provide channel partners with a global portfolio of infrastructure solutions, but also combine it with compelling financial incentives and non-monetary benefits such as technology consultancy and support.

“When we spoke to the channel and industry analysts, one of the pieces of feedback we kept hearing about other service providers was, ‘it looks good on paper, but in practice it’s not great’,” said Freek Hemminga, Global Channels and Marketing Manager, LeaseWeb. “We’re addressing this head-on with a program that provides achievable incentives and compensation, with upfront discounts and up to 16% back-end payments. This is combined with non-monetary benefits, such as dedicated account management, access to our technical and support teams, and marketing support.”
65,000+ Servers Under Management
With more than 65,000 physical servers under management, LeaseWeb provides partners and direct customers a comprehensive portfolio of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions that includes bare metal servers, public and private cloud, and the ability to mix and match hybrid environments for enterprises’ most demanding applications and workloads. Founded in 1997, the company now operates 9 data centers in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the U.S., all of which are backed by an extensive worldwide network with a large total capacity of 5.0 Tbps.
“Our research shows that there is a particular gap in the market, where solution providers are crying out for infrastructure partners that take them seriously,” added Hemminga. “Value added resellers, IT consultants and other solution providers get most of their margin from integration and roll-out of technologies, rather than the infrastructure itself. Delivering high-quality hosting infrastructure is LeaseWeb’s expertise, and working together makes sense so both parties can do what they’re best at. The end result is that partners have the ability to offer customers leading-edge hosting services, with the latest accreditations and security standards, without having to make a capital expenditure outlay.”
U.S., Europe, Asia
LeaseWeb is a group of independent companies that operate under the brand name LeaseWeb. LeaseWeb consists of LeaseWeb USA, LeaseWeb Netherlands, LeaseWeb Germany, LeaseWeb Asia Pacific, and LeaseWeb CDN. These separate companies also provide their services through their respective LeaseWeb Partners.
“We’re committed to investing properly in this space and see sales through our Specialized Partner Program being critical to LeaseWeb’s continued expansion,” added Hemminga. “In practical terms, this has resulted in the creation of a dedicated channel sales and marketing team, plus investments in marketing support and development activities.”
LeaseWeb’s channel partners can now belong to one or more of the following types of partners:
- Reseller – wholesale; unmanaged hosting providers.
- Referral – IT consultants; application developers; web designers and other companies that put their focus outside of the hosting business.
- Specialized – IT consultants; Systems Integrators; Managed Service Providers (MSPs), xSPs, Value Added Resellers (VARs).
