Interop Las Vegas has announces a range of renowned technology leaders joining the keynote lineup for its 30th anniversary event that will take place May 2-6, 2016 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. These keynote speakers would unveil pivotal trends to expect for Enterprise IT.
Added to the Interop Las Vegas 2016 program are three new speakers, as well as two panels, focused on how open-source is changing the IT equation and the CIO’s role in customer experience. The keynotes touch on two main themes:
- Technical Innovation
Each keynote speaker will offer insight into where the industry is headed, pulling from their vast experiences and current projects to drive innovation and change. The Interop conference program, spanning five days, will dive into 10 key growth areas within the IT industry, with a common focus on networking and the technologies dependent upon it. The keynote program will take place Wednesday, May 4 and Thursday, May 5 from 8:30-10:15 am each day.
The 2016 Interop Las Vegas Keynote Lineup Includes:
NEW – Matt Eclavea, Vice President of Technology, Sacramento Kings – As Vice President of Technology for the Sacramento Kings, Matt Eclavea is responsible for all technology operations at Sleep Train Arena. He currently heads the technology selection, development and implementation at Golden 1 Center – the world-class sports and entertainment venue opening in downtown Sacramento in October. The venue incorporates the latest environmental and technological innovations.
NEW – Amy Doherty, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, AARP – In her role as CIO, Amy Doherty will help shape AARP’s future by enabling new technology solutions and services that help its members and people 50+ live their best lives. Her work helps to drive the transformation of the IT organization from a ‘cost center’ to a ‘value center,’ running IT like a business, strengthening AARP’s Information Security infrastructure, and improve IT’s ability to execute, and boost stability, efficiency, and resiliency throughout the organization.
NEW – Jeff Reed, VP, Enterprise Infrastructure and Solutions, Cisco – Jeff Reed leads Cisco’s Enterprise Infrastructure and Solutions Group (EISG), which is transforming the network to deliver more value to users and make it easier for enterprises to consume and operate Cisco solutions. He is responsible for evolving the business strategy and driving innovative solutions for customers, across the data center and campus and branch routing, switching and wireless architectures.
Amin Vahdat, Fellow and Networking Technical Lead, Google - The demands of distributed processing, along with exponentially increasing data and storage, are forcing a re-think of networking technologies. Amin Vahdat will lead a discussion regarding what is possible as the network itself becomes the engine for performance gains, and how this will support the next wave of advances in cloud computing.
Martin Casado, GM Networking and Security, SVP and Fellow, VMware - Martin Casado has always pushed innovation forward – his dissertation work at Stanford University in 2007 led to the creation of the software-defined networking (SDN) movement, and laid the foundation for the new paradigm of network virtualization. Now, hear his keynote addressing the state of technical innovation and the networking industry, in particular changes driven by macro shifts in security and cloud.
NEW – Panel: ‘How Open-Source Changes the IT Equation’
