With the deployment of a Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Equinix’s DA3 data center in Dallas, Voxility, a worldwide provider of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, has expanded its footprint in the United States. Equinix DA3 is housed at the Infomart Data Center, one of the most connected data centers in the United States. It would allow Voxility’s clients to connect quickly throughout the United States as well as to Central and South America.
Voxility provides Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions to organizations by renting and selling hardware, network equipment, internet connectivity, and security services. Its OPEX-based IaaS approach provides enterprise-grade physical hardware in physical locations that can be hired out on a monthly basis. It would also allow clients to have complete transparency over where and how their data is stored and maintained.
Apart from the new PoP in Dallas, Voxility has PoPs in important US markets such as Ashburn, Los Angeles, Miami, and Reston, as well as data centers in significant European hubs.
“Our expansion in the US is part of our long-term growth strategy and commitment to offering customers flexible and secure IaaS in the most interconnected hubs in the world. Dallas is a critical market for the south-central US but also offers a jumping off point for connecting Central America,” said Maria Sirbu, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Voxility. “Data sovereignty and control over where and how data is managed is becoming even more important to cloud service providers and enterprises and we aim at offering them all of the flexibility of the public cloud but with the security and control of private or on prem solutions.”
Telcos, Data Centers, Hosting Providers, CSPs
The Voxility network offers over 2 Tbps edge IP traffic connectivity to over 1,600 network neighbors. Voxility network is directly connected to more than 1600 BGP peers. All of its infrastructure and services are protected by “industry-leading” cybersecurity technologies and can be controlled by users through “simple” dashboards.
Voxility generally services telcos, data centers, hosting providers, and cloud service providers (CSPs) looking for custom-built infrastructure, as well as huge bandwidth capacity, DDoS Protection, and network features.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with Equinix in a new hub and deliver services in one of the largest and most dynamic cloud markets in the US. Equinix offers a reliable and trusted facility with a globally consistent experience,” added Maria Sirbu. “Over the last 12 to 18 months, we’ve seen a surge in demand for cloud-based services matched with a growing need for security and data integrity in the region. As Voxility grows in new hubs, we are bringing computing power closer to where it counts, making it secure and flexible for clients.”
Equinix Dallas serves as a key center for 605+ organizations and provides clients with network services from 140+ competitive providers, allowing them to access Central and South American routes. It is one of the largest Internet Exchanges (IXs) in South Central America, both in terms of participants and traffic volume.
