“Further growth on a European scale is important for us, as we will then be able to grow with our clients, even when instant dedicated server provisioning at scale is what they require,” said Herke Plantenga, co-founder and CEO of NovoServe.

After completing their latest server count in NovoServe’s two company-owned data centers in Doetinchem and Enschede, the Netherlands, as well as their co-located data center in Frankfurt, Germany, the company found out that that they’ve now passed the number of 2,000 dedicated servers running.

Founded in 2015 and VC-capital backed, NovoServe is focusing on delivering custom-engineered dedicated servers and virtual servers on a global scale to clients including CSPs, MSPs, systems integrators, VARs, and ISVs. The company provides its IaaS hosting services across industries including hosting, SaaS, ecommerce, big data and gaming, as well the startup scene – NovoServe actually stated on its website it is serving quite some Internet startups from Europe’s ‘Silicon Allee,’ in Berlin, Germany.

“For NovoServe this milestone of 2,000 dedicated servers under management means we’re on the right track to meet our objectives for balanced business growth,” said Herke Plantenga, co-founder and CEO of NovoServe. “Further growth on a European scale is important for us. It will provide our clients with the assurance that we’re able to grow with them, even when instant dedicated server provisioning at scale is what they require. For our regional customers, a balanced business growth implies that NovoServe will be able to maintain its competitive IaaS hosting price/performance ratios now and in the future.”

Acquisitions, Data Centers

Rolf Brodbeck
“After acquiring two data centers in the Netherlands, NovoServe has almost doubled organic year-over-year IaaS hosting revenue growth,” said Rolf Brodbeck, Chairman of the Board at NovoServe.

NovoServe is combining a strategy of organic as well as inorganic growth. About a year after founding the company, NovoServe acquired Dutch Internet pioneer Internet Access Facilities (IAF) as well as sister company Twents Datacentrum (TDC) with its data center located in Enschede, the Netherlands. IAF was initially founded as Internet Access Foundation in the early days of the Internet, in 1992. Almost at the same time, NovoServe acquired global security provider Avira’s data center in Doetinchem, the Netherlands.

Backed by these company-owned data centers as well as its Frankfurt, Germany data center presence, NovoServe is now building its IaaS hosting business and set for further international growth. “After acquiring global security provider Avira’s data center in Doetinchem and Dutch Internet pioneer IAF including its data center in Enschede, NovoServe has almost doubled organic year-over-year IaaS hosting revenue growth,” said Rolf Brodbeck, Chairman of the Board at NovoServe and managing partner of private equity company BE Beteiligungen GmbH in Cologne, Germany.

As NovoServe has raised equity participation from BE Beteiligungen GmbH, the company is being supported by capital from the European Investment Fund (EIF). The EIF is promoting European Union (EU) objectives such as innovation, research and development, entrepreneurship, economic growth and employment. Part of BE Beteiligungen’s invested capital is provided by EIF.
