IBM Buys U.S. Microsoft Azure Consultancy, Neudesic

“As a Microsoft Gold Partner with multiple Azure competencies, Neudesic is excited to enhance IBM’s hybrid cloud strategy with extensive Azure capabilities,” said Parsa Rohani, Co-Founder and CEO, Neudesic. “The combination of our capabilities with IBM’s hybrid cloud vision and scale will drive even more impactful innovation for clients.”

IBM Cloud

IBM has acquired Neudesic, a prominent U.S. cloud services consultant focused largely on the Microsoft Azure platform, as well as multicloud expertise. IBM’s portfolio of hybrid multicloud services would be greatly expanded as a result of this acquisition while the company’s hybrid cloud and AI strategy would be further advanced.

“As one of the leading cloud platforms, Microsoft Azure is key to many of our clients’ ability to modernize and innovate,” said John Granger, Senior Vice President, IBM Consulting. “Neudesic adds deep Azure cloud, data engineering and data analytics expertise to accelerate our clients’ hybrid cloud journeys. This builds upon IBM’s prior acquisitions of cloud transformation capabilities last year.”

IBM continues to invest in its hybrid cloud and AI strategy, extending its cloud services technology, talents, and capabilities to satisfy the growing demand for hybrid cloud services from clients. Since Arvind Krishna took over as CEO in April 2020, IBM has acquired more than 20 firms, including 12 in IBM Consulting alone.

The latest acquisition builds on IBM’s previous cloud transformation purchases, which include Sentaca, SXiQ, BoxBoat, Nordcloud, and Taos. Financial terms of the acquisition of Neudesic by IBM were not disclosed.
