IBM provides a fully supported plugin which is the key component for integrating UrbanCode Deploy with Salesforce.com. The plugin incorporates the Force.com Migration Tool, which is a utility for moving Salesforce metadata between a local directory, and a Salesforce org. This tool is designed to help make the retrieval and deployment of artifacts from test and production environments simpler and more efficient by providing a parameter-driven command line utility. When we combine this with the benefits of UrbanCode Deploy, we can now version our metadata changes as deployable artifacts, providing better visibility, traceability, and repeatability with use of our graphical process editor and environment inventory.
