Global cloud service providers iland and iomart have been certified under the G-Cloud 11 framework to deliver managed cloud services to public sector organizations in the UK. Both iland and iomart were already listed as G-Cloud suppliers in recent years.
The G-Cloud framework, an agreement between the UK government and suppliers that provide cloud-based services, acts as a digital market for public sector bodies to search for reliable cloud-based services.
iland is a global provider of secured and compliant Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), and Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) with nine data centers around the world including London and Manchester. Headquartered in Houston, Texas and London, UK, iland delivers cloud services from its data centers throughout the Americas, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Iomart owns and manages its own global data center network stretching across eight locations in the UK and eight more worldwide including the US, Singapore and Dubai. The company employs over 200 technical consultants and support engineers working round the clock to ensure true 24×7 support. As a global cloud service provider, iomart is accredited at Tier1 partner level by all the major cloud vendors including Microsoft, VMware, EMC and AWS.
Cloud Hosting, Cloud Services
“G-Cloud has far-reaching benefits for the public sector in selecting and purchasing cloud services, cloud hosting, cloud software and cloud support,” said Frank Krieger, vice president of governance, risk and compliance, iland. “It makes it easy for public sector organizations, including central government, local authorities, blue-lights and the NHS, to purchase iland solutions, and it affords them the confidence to know that we meet stringent government-set standards.”
“We have the people, skills, knowledge, technologies, infrastructure and partnerships to offer public sector organizations a one-stop shop for cloud strategy, implementation, security and management,” said Declan Sharpe, UK Sales Director, iomart. “Instead of having to deal with multiple suppliers, we offer a single point of access to a large portfolio of cloud services, producing a better experience and genuine economies of scale for any public sector body that chooses to work with us.”
