Schneider Electric has introduced its Easy Rack Series. These new data center cabinets will become available exclusively in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Schneider Electric’s Easy Rack series, which comes in a number of sizes, is designed to be “simple to scale, configure, and accessorize” while being “quick and easy” to install.
Easy Racks come in a variety of heights, widths, and depths, ranging from 24U to 48U, 600mm and 800mm widths, and 800mm to 1200mm depths. Data center rack systems with or without sides are available, as well as one version that comes flat packed for simple transportation to places with deployment issues such as space or height limits. Schneider Electric’s Easy Rack Series will be available via channel partners in Europe from May 2021.

Easy Racks would offer an inexpensive and simple-to-use line of data center racks, accessories, and components. According to Schneider Electric, they’re simple to pick, install, and accessorize with other components, including the Easy Rack PDU series, which was just released and is packed with features.
To sum up, Schneider Electric’s new Easy Rack data center cabinet line would offer the following advantages:
- Rapid, feature-rich data center cabinet deployment – Easy Racks would come fully constructed with necessary features, allowing for quick deployment and equipment installation in any IT environment. With static and dynamic load ratings of 1200kg and 600kg, respectively, the series would offer up to 81 percent ventilation rate on front and rear doors.
- One data center cabinet platform for all server and network rack requirements – Easy Rack customers can standardize all of their server and network rack requirements on one rack platform, allowing for quick installation in row-based data centers, wire closets, and remote edge locations. The new standard sizes include an 800mm width and 800mm depth form factor, which would be ideal for network cabling and patching applications.
- Compatibility – Schneider Electric’s Easy Rack Series would benefit from easy connection with Schneider Electric’s other racks, accessories, and PDUs, as well as the company’s design tools. This compatibility would help speed up IT solution design and deployment within edge and colocation data center environments. Easy racks are also fully compatible with Schneider Electric’s open, interoperable and vendor-agnostic EcoStruxure IT management software, allowing remote monitoring of on-premise and distributed IT infrastructure from anywhere, at any time, via any device.
