Infinitely Virtual Introduces Cloud Servers For Education Market

cloud-serversInfinitely Virtual, a provider of cloud servers headquartered in Encinitas, California, has rolled out a series of high-end cloud hosting plans targeted at academic institutions, from pre-K through the graduate and post-graduate levels.

Following up its recent entry into the education market, cloud server provider Infinitely Virtual has launched four new cloud hosting packages aimed at the academic world. Users will have a choice of hosting their servers in Los Angeles or Boston.

One of the four new cloud server packages for academic institutions includes:

Virtual Terminal Server – Premium (EDU) – Under this cloud server plan, users can access applications and data from anywhere in the world; a solution for those who need to tap into centralized resources from home, campus or another remote location. The plan supports most Windows applications and it consists of five tiers – Gold, Platinum, Platinum+, Diamond and Diamond+. At the Gold level, the package includes 2 cores, 1 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage; at the top end, the Diamond+ level, that scales to 8 cores, 8 GB of RAM and 60 GB of storage.

Infinitely Virtual’s cloud servers are hosted in the company’s Enterprise Virtualization Environment that would enable the company to guarantee 100 percent uptime.

“At every level, this truly is a complete solution,” said Adam Stern, CEO, Infinitely Virtual. “The Premium EDU plan includes Active Directory controllers, fileserver, SharePoint and Terminal Server, so educational institutions can obtain the most robust application and file sharing solution yet developed. Our cloud server plan combines the security and control of redundant Active Directory controllers, the file sharing simplicity of a fileserver and SharePoint server, with our Virtual Terminal Server – and our engineers can get users up and running in less than a day.”
