“We are excited to bring the power of Informatica’s AI-powered, cloud-native, Intelligent Data Management Cloud to OCI,” said Jitesh Ghai, Chief Product Officer at Informatica.

Databases, data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses, enterprise analytics, and data science would be able to benefit from Oracle and Informatica’s strategic worldwide partnership, which will bring cloud data management, integration, and governance solutions. This new agreement would allow thousands of Oracle and Informatica clients to modernize their data platforms by shifting on-premises workloads to OCI. They will be able to acquire insights from reliable data at scale while using their existing talents and investments as a result of this.

“Oracle Autonomous Database is the leading database platform for all operational and analytical use cases,” said Andrew Mendelsohn, Executive Vice President, Database Server Technologies at Oracle. Informatica is a recognized leader in enterprise data integration and governance. With our complementary offerings, Oracle and Informatica will help organizations modernize and deploy new analytics capabilities on OCI regardless of where the data resides. This strategic partnership brings compelling value to our joint customers with the fastest, most cost-effective path to OCI. Once on OCI, they can rapidly innovate to bring better analytics and data science to their organizations.”

Cloud-Native Data Management

IDMC is a cloud-native data management platform from Informatica that presently supports major clouds, giving businesses more flexibility and control over their data in hybrid and multi-cloud settings. Clients would be able to benefit from the new cooperation in the following ways:

  • Simplify migrations to OCI – This new agreement, which builds on Informatica’s Cloud Data Warehouse Modernization initiative, would provide clients with additional benefits aimed at simplifying migration of on-premises applications and data warehouses to the cloud when compared to migration without assistance. Informatica provides an automated Migration Factory as well as incentives for maintenance and expert services. Oracle provides free database migration tools, BYOL (bring your on-premises licenses to the cloud), Oracle Support Rewards, and Oracle Cloud Lift Services migration professionals. In addition, Accenture and other major system integrators provide professional service incentives to Informatica clients.
  • Enhance data governance capabilities on OCI with IDMC – OCI customers have access to hundreds of data sources, as well as multi-cloud and hybrid data management capabilities, thanks to IDMC. Customers will be able to use a common data management platform and governance layer across all of their cloud and on-premises data infrastructures as a result of this. IDMC would also offer a full range of data management services, including application connection, bulk ingestion, ETL and ELT, data quality and cleansing, and intelligent automation using Informatica’s AI engine, CLAIRE.

“We are honored to be an Oracle preferred partner for enterprise cloud data integration and data governance for data warehouse and lakehouse solutions on OCI and are excited to bring the power of Informatica’s AI-powered, cloud-native, Intelligent Data Management Cloud to OCI,” said Jitesh Ghai, Chief Product Officer at Informatica. “This partnership will enable our joint customers to gain tangible business and technology benefits from our combined software and services.”
