Field-programmable gate arrays (or FPGAs) are basically chips that can be reprogrammed and reconfigured for specific applications or functionalities. In his presentation, Intel’s Jeff Wittich talks about how FPGA can accelerate use cases such as machine learning, data analytics, compression, and virtualization. He also explains how cloud providers can leverage Intel’s IP libraries, tool suites, and more for FPGA workload acceleration.
