Interxion, a provider of colocation services with 37 data centers available in 11 European countries, is now supporting access to AWS Direct Connect – Amazon’s private cloud connect service offering – from its London data center campus. These private cloud connections provide dedicated, secured networking solutions designed for customers implementing high performance hybrid IT solutions.
Due to strong demand for AWS cloud hosting services from all Interxion’s segments (Enterprise, Financial Service, Systems Integrator and Digital Media), Interxion has joined the APN program as a partner supporting access to AWS Direct Connect.
Interxion Cloud Connect provides a single interface solution to customers colocated in its data centers, enabling a simple and flexible way to build such connections to their cloud hosting provider(s) of choice.
“Preliminary findings from a study by IDG Connect, amongst 650 IT decision-makers across Europe, highlights that the volume of workloads operated in the Public Cloud would increase by 68% if key concerns around networking, security and performance were resolved,” said Vincent in’t Veld, Director of Cloud Segment at Interxion. “Private connect services, such as AWS Direct Connect, address these concerns and are now accessible through Interxion Cloud Connect, enabling our customers to accelerate the implementation of their hybrid IT strategy.”
