Kickstart Europe 2023 Event Program Addresses Global Concerns

Kickstart Europe 2023

In 2023, the rapidly expanding demand for digital services would require the digital infrastructure sector to meet a number of challenging issues, including rising inflation rates, energy prices, workforce shortages, and sustainability. Therefore, on Tuesday, February 21, more than 1000 business professionals are scheduled to attend the Kickstart Europe Conference in 2023 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to discover new opportunities and get knowledge about how to address current market challenges.

For this audience of more than 1000 professionals from the data center, fiber, and cloud industries, Kickstart Europe 2023 will provide a familiar conference program on February 20 (Welcome Evening) and February 21 (Conference Day). Industry professionals debate the most recent advancements in strategy and investments in digital infrastructure at this yearly networking and strategy event held at the Amsterdam RAI.

First Speakers Announced

The conference begins on February 21 with a “dynamic” morning program that includes talks and quick keynotes about the market for data centers and investments in digital infrastructure.

The newest opportunities and challenges in the data center business will be covered by EMEA executives from major firms including Eric Boonstra (VP & GM Europe, Iron Mountain), Dick Theunissen (Managing Director EMEA, EdgeConneX), and Eugene Bergen Henegouwen (President EMEA, Equinix), while CBRE Research Director Kevin Restivo is expected to share his market growth and trend analysis.

The conference morning program would also emphasize investments in digital infrastructure. C-level speakers, including Alex Goldblum (CEO, Eurofiber), Anke Schlichting (CTO, NIBC Bank), Rob Visser (CTO, Nationale Nederlanden), and more participants to be announced, will explore investment potential in this area on a panel moderated by NIBC Bank.

Professor Open Innovation & Business Venturing Paul Iske (also the founder of the ‘Institute for Brilliant Failures & Serious Optimism’) will host the morning program as Chairman of the Day.

In the afternoon on February 21, there would be lots of networking possibilities (using a simple speed dating technique), and panel discussions regarding sustainable advances, investment tactics, as well as insights into the EU market.

The sixth iteration of Kickstart Europe is anticipated by its initiator, Stijn Grove. “Last year, our industry had to face a lot of difficulties. With the rising energy costs and inflation rates in mind, the urge to implement sustainable and innovative solutions to decrease these costs is sky-high,” said Mr. Grove. “At the same time we need to support the transition to the ‘New Economy’, which is sustainable, open, transparent and digital. Data centers are the foundation of making these transitions successful. Therefore, the question arises which solutions and strategies will be suitable for the growth of our industry. We look forward to discussing both at Kickstart Europe.”
