LA-based Cloud Hosting Provider Reliam Acquires AWS Cloud Company, Stratalux

reliamReliam, a Los Angeles-based consulting and managed services provider for public cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS Cloud) and Microsoft Azure, has acquired AWS consulting and managed services provider, Stratalux. As a managed cloud services provider focusing exclusively on AWS, Stratalux would add complimentary qualities to the Reliam portfolio.

With the integration of Stratalux, Reliam would add significant headcount – particularly of AWS-certified cloud and DevOps engineers and solution architects. The deal would further enable Reliam to strengthen its partnership with AWS throughout 2018 and continue to accelerate the adoption of the AWS Cloud for customers worldwide.

The transaction was funded through an add-on investment into the parent platform company by Great Hill Partners, which made an initial investment in Reliam in November 2017. Great Hill Partners reserved up to $75 million for further investment into the managed cloud platform to fund acquisitions as well as organic growth. Financial terms of the Stratalux acquisition were not disclosed.

Great Hill Partners is a Boston-based private equity firm that has raised over $5 billion in commitments since inception to finance the acquisition, recapitalization, or expansion of growth companies in the communications, financial technology, healthcare, information services, Internet, media, retail, consumer, and software industries. Great Hill targets investments of $25 million to $200 million.
