LambdaTest Unveils ‘Next-gen’ Smart Website Testing Platform, HyperTest

LambdaTest, a company serving over 500 enterprises and more than 600,000 users across more than 130 countries, has unveiled HyperTest. This “next-generation” smart website testing platform would enable organizations to execute end-to-end Selenium tests at the quickest feasible pace.

It can be critical to test website code before releasing it to the public. LambdaTest HyperTest, which supports Selenium testing, would help companies achieve the fastest time-to-market by intelligently decreasing test execution time. Selenium is an open-source project that automates web browser testing. Instead of manually testing each capability, developers and QA analysts in organizations may use Selenium to save time.

Because of the numerous network hops that occur during each test, existing automated testing solutions are inherently slow, according to LambdaTest. The typical technique involves sending triggered test cases to the Selenium hub, which then schedules them to execute on the best-suited Selenium node. As several network components are engaged in the entire process, this would cause needless delay. Additionally, many network hops with independent components would result in higher test flakiness, which can be the most significant time-to-market stumbling block.

The newly launched solution by LambdaTest, HyperTest, combines all of the components into a single execution environment, eliminating network hops and reducing test execution times. This would allow firms to test code and correct errors much more quickly, resulting in a shorter time to market.

“HyperTest runs as fast as an in-house Selenium installation and is up to 70% faster than other traditional cloud test execution platforms,” said Asad Khan, CEO at LambdaTest.

“Traditional solutions barely scratch the surface when it comes to speed of test execution. We wanted to build the fastest test execution platform because businesses are tired of slow test execution speeds. When modern digital businesses are building best-in-class features and products, they also need a best-in-class test execution platform,” said Asad Khan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at LambdaTest. “HyperTest runs as fast as an in-house Selenium installation and is up to 70% faster than other traditional cloud test execution platforms. We are excited for the world to try out HyperTest and experience test execution at never-before-seen speed. It also comes with a lot of smart features that ensures ease of test execution.”

Real-time console logs for test execution, intelligent grouping of tests to decrease overall build time, artifacts management, automatic reporting, and automatic retries on failures are all included in HyperTest. It is also compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

LambdaTest was founded in 2017 and has since received nearly $25 million in funding from Sequoia Capital, Telstra Ventures, Entree Capital, Leo Capital Holdings, Blume Ventures, and other investors.
