Leaseweb, one of the largest cloud hosting providers in the world with 80,000 dedicated servers under management and a global footprint of 19 data centers located across Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America, has selected the colocation services delivered by Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) to expand Leaseweb’s data center presence in the UK. The companies have signed a contract for 1 year.
Colt DCS’ carrier-neutral colocation offering and “competitive pricing” are the main reasons for Leaseweb choosing ColtDCS for their UK data center expansion. ColtDCS’ latest channel partner program would allow Leaseweb to generate leads and grow revenues by leveraging the services available within Colt DCS’s colocation data center ecosystem.
“Our fundamental belief is that applications should be platform agnostic, offering our customers choice among different technologies, and Colt DCS was one of the very few providers that was able to successfully address this and provide for our colocation needs,” said Eltjo Hofstee, Managing Director UK at Leaseweb. “The company also has a good reputation for listening to its customers, and translate their needs into results. With Colt DCS’ expert services on our side, we believe that we have the right support in place to expand in the UK market and take our business to greater heights.”
Flexible Colocation Services
The “hybrid ready” hosting solutions delivered by Leaseweb include dedicated servers, private cloud, public cloud, colocation, content delivery network (CDN), and cyber security services. Leaseweb’s solutions are backed by a high-capacity global network with more than 5.5Tbps of bandwidth available.
“At Colt DCS, our main focus is to provide flexible options to address the differing needs of our customers,” said Ben Tuckwell, Global Channel Director at Colt Data Centre Services. “Our flexible and resilient carrier-neutral services will provide Leaseweb with the necessary capabilities on its journey to establish itself as a key cloud hosting provider in the UK market.”
