Global IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) hosting and cloud services provider Leaseweb has expanded its Leaseweb Cloud Connect offering to enable quick and secured access from its UK data centers to Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS.

With the launch of Leaseweb Cloud Connect, the IaaS provider’s UK clients would now have the option to securely connect Leaseweb-hosted infrastructure to any of the top three public cloud providers without using the Internet. Clients have a choice of Internet speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps, based on their specific project needs and financial constraints.

Today, the majority of businesses operate in a hybrid cloud environment. A hybrid cloud approach allows for mission-critical applications and data to be deployed on private infrastructure while still taking use of the public cloud for development, big data, and on-demand workloads.

With the introduction of Leaseweb Cloud Connect in the UK, clients in that country would benefit from connecting their dedicated hosting resources to their preferred public cloud provider, giving them “the best of both worlds.”

‘Hybrid Cloud is About Flexibility’

“True hybrid cloud is about flexibility, and that’s only possible if infrastructure components can integrate effectively, and Leaseweb Cloud Connect meets that need,” said Terry Storrar, Managing Director at Leaseweb UK.

By 2025, it is anticipated that the hybrid cloud infrastructure industry would be worth $128.01 billion. According to Leaseweb, businesses can easily create secured networks that seamlessly connect their various IT systems across Leaseweb and public cloud environments with Leaseweb Cloud Connect.

“True hybrid cloud is about flexibility, and that’s only possible if infrastructure components can integrate effectively, and Leaseweb Cloud Connect meets that need by giving our customers the flexibility to make the right choices for their organization,” said Terry Storrar, Managing Director at Leaseweb UK. “Given the UK is a leader for hybrid cloud across both strategy and processes, we’re rolling this service out to meet what we predict will be significant demand in the months and years ahead.”
