LeaseWeb, one of the world’s largest Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) hosting brands, has announced the appointment of Lex Boost to chief executive officer (CEO) of LeaseWeb USA, effective immediately. Mr. Boost succeeds William Schrader who led this USA entity of the Amsterdam headquartered hosting provider for nearly 4 years. Mr. Schrader will continue his career as an independent consultant.
Lex Boost joined LeaseWeb in 2014 as global operations director, based in Amsterdam, before moving to the United States to help run the U.S. business as LeaseWeb USA’s chief operating officer. During his time as COO, Mr. Boost successfully spearheaded a number of growth initiatives, such as opening the San Francisco facility in 2014, the launch of the Dallas location in 2015, and the recent integration of Nobis Technology Group, along with its Ubiquity Hosting brand, which was acquired in March of 2016.
“Lex is well prepared for this new role, where he’ll be focused on increasing LeaseWeb USA’s rapid growth in the U.S. market while bringing the spirit of the Amsterdam company to our customers there,” said Con Zwinkels, global CEO of LeaseWeb. “Lex’s extensive experiences as an entrepreneurial technology leader will help us continue to bring our winning formula of secure, affordable cloud hosting solutions to our customers.”
Lex Boost will be responsible for the development and execution of the group vision, strategy and growth for the U.S. arm of the company.
“LeaseWeb USA is backed by one of the world’s largest hosting providers, but operates in the United States as an agile provider of innovative solutions,” said Lex Boost. “It’s been a tremendous opportunity to work in a place with that mix of boldness and capacity. I look forward to continuing to use my entrepreneurial passion and knowledge of the U.S. market to lead LeaseWeb USA toward greater accomplishments.”
