Lemongrass Introduces New SAP-based Services for Enterprises

Lemongrass, a software-enabled services provider, synonymous with SAP on Cloud, has introduced four new services for enterprises running their mission-critical systems with SAP. The news was shared last week at Sapphire 2022, SAP’s annual client conference in Orlando, Florida.

“Our approach with these new offerings is to help SAP users make a smooth transition to the cloud, while enabling all the best capabilities that the top cloud providers have to offer,” said Eamonn O’Neill, Co-Founder and CTO at Lemongrass.

The new service offerings are intended to help SAP users move to the cloud faster, provide solutions for meeting SAP S/4HANA migration deadlines, supplement RISE with SAP, and ‘cloudify’ SAP through automation and integration of cloud-native data services.

SAP ERP clients that fail to move to SAP S/4HANA by 2027 would suffer increasing support fees for their outdated systems. In addition to the RISE with SAP solution, the deadline has prompted SAP customers to look more generally about digitization and the usage of Cloud-native data services. Most SAP users want to upgrade to SAP S/4HANA before support expires, stated Lemongrass, but a successful migration would require preparation and testing, which may be costly and time-consuming.

Lemongrass’ new service offerings are in reaction to these developments, and they expand on the company’s position as a pioneer in SAP in the Cloud planning, migration, operation, and automation. Lemongrass is responsible for about 8,000 SAP servers and 400,000 SAP users.

SAP Transition to the Cloud

Here are some highlights of the new Lemongrass services:

Lemongrass SAP S/4HANA Greenfield – Lemongrass would deliver a production-grade landscape for the upgraded SAP S/4HANA in only days, along with comprehensive monitoring, security, and operational support, “at an exceptionally low cost.”

Lemongrass SAP S/4HANA Express Labs – The SAP S/4HANA Express Labs is a sandbox with a comprehensive Landing Zone and Management Tooling that lets SAP users test their SAP ERP data in a live public Cloud environment. Lemongrass will run the lab for users for one month with no strings attached.

Lemongrass SAP RISE+ – Lemongrass will migrate and convert the customer’s ERP system to RISE with SAP, as well as create sister VPCs for non-RISE applications. Lemongrass will also run non-RISE apps and set up the BTP integration mapping. This begins with a financed assessment to map out a speedy migration to RISE with SAP, classify non-RISE applications, and give an integrated migration methodology, all of which is backed up by a business case.

Lemongrass SAP Analytics Accelerator – Lemongrass will replicate SAP data structures in cloud-native data platforms such as Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, and Snowflake for clients that use or want to utilize them. This will make data mobility easier. The idea is to give business users self-service data capabilities so they can perform machine learning and AI on their data sets.

“Our approach with these new offerings is to help SAP users make a smooth transition to the cloud, while enabling all the best capabilities that the top cloud providers have to offer,” said Eamonn O’Neill, Co-Founder and CTO at Lemongrass. “Once an SAP user decides that a move to the cloud is right for them, Lemongrass is the only partner they’ll need.”
