Logicalis US, an international IT solutions and managed hosting services provider, has announced an agreement with IO, a global provider of software-defined data centers, to build a Logicalis data center presence in IO’s Dayton, Ohio, data center operations facility.
The managed hosting services provider already had existing deployments in the IO Phoenix and IO New Jersey data centers. This new data center presence in Ohio would extend the cost, agility, security and efficiency benefits of the IO Intelligent Control platform from the east and west coasts to Logicalis’ clients located in the central United States.
Private cloud, DCaaS
The agreement with IO will expand the managed hosting services available to Logicalis’ dedicated cloud customers and offers a new failover location to customers served by the Logicalis Enterprise Cloud East and West operations.
In the coming months, the Logicalis On-Demand Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), a self-managed, multi-tenant public cloud infrastructure, will also be housed in the IO facility. The new central location with an on-site Logicalis presence completes Logicalis’ nationwide data center strategy, allowing Logicalis to expand its data center and managed cloud hosting services, including private cloud and Data Center as-a-service (DCaaS).
IO’s integrated hardware and software data center technology platform offers enterprises, governments, and hosting services providers an innovative way to deploy, provision, and optimize data center capacity anywhere in the world. IO technology would lower the total cost of data center ownership compared to traditional data centers, enabling dynamic deployment and intelligent control based on the needs of IT equipment and applications in the data center.
