Logicalis US, an international IT solutions and managed services provider, has announced its Backup-as-a-Service (BUaaS) solution, the latest offering in its portfolio of managed services. The new cloud storage solution offers organizations the ability to back up and restore as much, or as little, data as necessary to a “fast and secured,” enterprise-grade cloud managed by Logicalis US.
The new Logicalis Backup-as-a-Service offering would integrate industry-leading compression, de-duplication, encryption and WAN acceleration with highly scalable, reliable, fast and affordable cloud storage to deliver the type of performance enterprise customers are used to achieving in their on-site data centers.
The new service has been optimized for enterprise-grade workloads. The cloud storage solution can lower costs by up to 30 percent over disk- or tape-based systems, according to Logicalis US. Data sets would be compressed by 10 to 30 times, on average, to speed transmission and reduce storage costs.
“Our Logicalis Backup-as-a-Service offering is perfect for IT customers looking for a modern system for backing up their virtualized systems that they can restore quickly and do so in a cost-effective manner,” said Brian Day, Senior Director of Cloud Services, Logicalis US. “BUaaS, which is part of Logicalis’ managed services portfolio, is designed to meet the needs of busy enterprise customers. Our other protection-related managed services include Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) and Cloud Storage for Backup.”
With this BUaaS offering, Logicalis US will design, install and manage an on-premise Veeam backup solution as well as provide the cloud target for off-site storage. The new cloud storage solution is designed to support VMware and Hyper-V virtualized storage environments.
Logicalis employs over 4,000 people worldwide, including service specialists who design, deploy and manage complex IT infrastructures to meet the needs of over 6,500 corporate and public sector customers.
