Its ActiveGrid cloud features rapid deployment, a multi-layer security model, integrated auto-scaling, load balancing and auto-healing, a huge library of OS and application templates, and a dedicated 1000Mbps uplink for every server. Xfernet also uses OnApp Storage, the distributed SAN included with the OnApp platform, to deliver fully mirrored high-performance storage to its customers.

Load-balance applications

“The addition of our Chicago location allows us to provide a wider range of services to our clients,” said Sam Scott, CEO of Xfernet. “Our ActiveGrid managed cloud hosting customers can now choose where and how to deploy their applications. The capability to geographically load-balance applications is a very compelling feature that provides faster performance and near-continuous availability.”

Founded in 1998, Xfernet serves a wide range of enterprise and small business clients in the U.S. and abroad. Xfernet operates its own 10,000-sq ft. state-of-the-art data center (LAX-DC01) in Los Angeles.
