Lumos Networks Hires Josh Wolff as Senior Vice President of New Business Unit, Lumos Data Centers

Lumos Networks, a network service provider in the Mid-Atlantic region serving carrier, enterprise and data center customers, with a fiber network of 10,907 fiber route miles and 503,616 total fiber strand miles, has hired Josh Wolff as Senior Vice President of its recently created Lumos Data Center business.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead the recently established Lumos Network Data Center business,” said Josh Wolff.

Josh Wolff will be based in Charlotte and will oversee the company’s data center efforts across Lumos Networks’ entire fiber network, including DC74, which Lumos acquired in February of 2017.

Prior to joining Lumos Networks, Mr. Wolff was the SVP and Director of Northridge/Perficient, based in Charlotte, and was focused on Business Development throughout the Carolinas and Metro DC markets since 2011. From 2005-2011, he was the General Manager and Regional Director of Hosted Solutions/Windstream Communications Charlotte Data Center Operation, where he helped launch and was tasked with maximizing sales growth in that market.

“Given Josh’s deep experience in the robust Charlotte data center market, Josh was an optimal candidate to accelerate growth within our recently acquired DC74 Data Center assets,” said Timothy G. Biltz, President and CEO of Lumos Networks. “We believe that our market share of the Charlotte colocation and managed services market is currently less than 5%.”
