Magento Hosting Company, Nexcess, Opens 16,000 Sq Ft Data Center in Detroit Area

Nexcess, a provider of dedicated servers and shared packages specialized in Magento eCommerce hosting and WordPress hosting, has announced the opening of a brand new 16,000 square foot data center facility in Southfield, Michigan. The new data center will augment the company’s existing wholly-owned US facility in Dearborn, Michigan and its locations in the UK and Australia.

The new data center facility will facilitate Nexcess’ rapidly growing client-base. The company was recently ranked one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the United States as part of the Deloitte Fast 500.

magento-hosting-nexcessThe new facility is divided into office space and a 12,000 square foot floor space dedicated to data center operations. The Southfield site has access to nearly 3 megawatts of power distributed by redundant Liebert power distribution units fed by a dual Liebert UPS system. The power infrastructure also includes a pair of 750 kilowatt generators with a redundant backup. Each data center room is equipped with redundant Liebert dry cooling units.
