Managed AWS and Azure Cloud Hosting Services from iomart Now Available on G-Cloud 7

UK cloud company iomart (AIM: IOM) has made a range of managed public cloud hosting services available on the UK Government’s newly released G-Cloud 7 procurement framework. Managed AWS, Managed Azure and Managed Office 365, supported by accredited iomart technicians, are now available to local and central government organizations via the G-Cloud 7 Digital Marketplace.

“Cloud hosting services are helping to transform digital delivery across the public sector,” said Angus MacSween, CEO of iomart. “We have invested in the accreditations, expertise and network capacity to support organizations across government. As well as easily accessible and fully managed services we have a team of high level consultants who can help design the strategy to get you into the cloud.”

iomart also offers public, private and hybrid cloud hosting services via its Pan Government Accredited (PGA) CloudSure platform, assessed as suitable for data to OFFICIAL level. As a scalable and fully redundant platform, CloudSure is built on VMware VSphere in a “high availability” configuration across iomart’s network of UK data centers. Self or fully managed and supported 24 x7, the cloud services would give public sector organizations flexible on-demand access to compute resources.

big-ben-uk-government-cloudiomart has been on the G-Cloud framework since 2012 and has expanded its range of cloud hosting services to the public sector over time to cover Lots 1, 2 and 3 for Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) as well as Lot 4 for Specialist Cloud Services.

This year iomart acquired SystemsUp an independent cloud consultancy that has delivered many complex cloud projects for a number of government departments, local councils and blue light services. SystemsUp is also accredited for G-Cloud 7.

iomart’s managed cloud hosting solutions are also available to public sector organizations in Scotland under the Scottish Government’s Hosting Services Framework.
