Edge Hosting, a U.S. provider of secured, scalable managed hosting services, has announced its annual attainment of the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II standards compliance. Assessed by auditors from CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), this certification demonstrates Edge Hosting’s commitment to the highest compliance standards of operational excellence for its customers around the world.
The audit encompassed “the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of controls,” over all of Edge Hosting’s cloud hosting and managed hosting services. Specific areas of testing included risk management, monitoring, access controls, network and system operations, change management, security policies and procedures, and overall security design and effectiveness.
For customers, in particular those who require regulatory compliant hosting environments, the SSAE 16 is a confirmation by an independent third party that Edge Hosting is securely maintaining systems and has in place policies and procedures that are consistent with high performing and secure environments.
