CentriLogic, a global provider of managed hosting, cloud hosting and colocation, has completed the expansion of its Lenoir, North Carolina data center. The multi-million dollar expansion project occurred over the past six months and included building out a 9,000 square foot physical space expansion that includes a 5,000 square foot data hall equipped with cabinets and cages.
CentriLogic’s data center expansion, dedicated to colocation and managed hosting services customers, included a conversion to concurrently maintainable 2N redundancy by doubling the site’s critical power capacity; adding 100 tons of additional cooling capacity; and increasing physical security using on-site biometrics and two-factor authentication.
Enterprise managed hosting
The Lenoir data center’s infrastructure has been enhanced to adhere to enterprise customers’ stringent security, uptime and compliance requirements. The facility now contains more than 23,000 operational square feet and has achieved SSAE 16 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001 certifications.
“We acquired the Lenoir facility in 2013 to strategically evolve our footprint in the USA beyond the Western New York area,” said Robert Offley, President and CEO at CentriLogic. “Since then, we have seen a steady increase in demand from customers throughout the Southeast region requiring the highest quality data center infrastructure. These facility upgrades are necessary for us to scale with our evolving customer base of companies in industries including SaaS, healthcare, ecommerce, and insurance.”
U.S. Virgin Islands data center
Since CentriLogic acquired Dacentec in 2013, the managed hosting provider would have doubled the number of physical servers deployed at the facility. CentriLogic owns and operates nine interconnected data centers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and recently achieved 5-year revenue growth of 1,217%.
Last month, CentriLogic acquired Adveniat Corporation, a U.S. Virgin Islands data center operator and hosting services provider. Through the acquisition, CentriLogic can directly support customers who are looking for both managed hosting solutions and significant income tax savings.
