Managed Hosting Provider Uniserver Acquires Another Dutch Hosting Company

Uniserver, a managed hosting provider from the Netherlands delivering workspace solutions, multicloud services and more, has acquired Denit – another managed hosting provider from the Netherlands. The Uniserver Group acquires all shares of Denit, including the majority interest of investor Main Capital. Founder Dennis Bruin will now leave the company. He is convinced that this is a good step forward for Denit.

With this acquisition, the Uniserver Group intends to become a Dutch market leader in multicloud services for MSPs (Managed Service Providers) and ISVs (Independent Software Vendors). Financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed.

Main Capital is a private equity and mezzanine capital investor with an exclusive focus on the software and software related sectors in the Benelux and DACH region. Main Capital acquired its majority stake in managed hosting provider Denit Hosting Solutions in 2016.

Both Uniserver and Denit will continue to operate under their own names from their own offices in Alkmaar and Amsterdam respectively.

“The national and international cloud world is changing extremely fast and in order to continue to play our role as a Dutch party, growth and ambition are needed,” said Ronald Bezuur, founder and Managing Director of Uniserver. “The acquisition of Denit fits in with our goal of becoming a leader in delivering Dutch cloud services. The changes in the market are now so rapid that organic growth alone is no longer enough. That’s why we are now joining forces. We’re expanding our ecosystem with knowledge and skills to serve our customers even better with flexible services that make IT simple.”

Uniserver employs 85 professionals who together serve thousands of end customers. Denit counts 45 employees.

“Ronald and I have known each other for a long time and have the same ideas about how we should and can grow as Dutch cloud service providers,” said Edwin Cornelissens, co-founder and Managing Director of Denit. “We distinguish ourselves from the major international players by offering customized and managed private cloud and container solutions, where you as a client benefit from short lines of communication and local expertise. With this joining of forces, we are able to further expand our existing range of services and together we can respond even better to the latest technological developments, such as continuous development (CI/CD) using container technology such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Docker.”
