Managed hybrid cloud hosting provider Codero, a company serving over 3,500 customers worldwide, has been certified by the European Union and U.S. Department of Commerce under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework – for the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the EU to the U.S. supporting transatlantic business.

With this certification, Codero is expanding its support of global work forces by adhering to ‘privacy shield’ principles and controls when processing personal data.

Designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and European Commission, The Privacy Shield framework is administered by the International Trade Administration and meets the requirements established by the European Commission to better safeguard the transfer of personal data and information between the EU and the U.S. The certification signifies compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks, which includes data protection obligations, formal redress for individuals, and rigorous controls.
