COLOTRAQ, a global sourcing advisory firm and master agency for data center colocation infrastructure and cloud services, will be recognizing the U.S. Election Day as a paid company holiday. COLOTRAQ is recognizing Election Day as a paid company holiday to make voting easier for its staff and inspire other companies to consider adopting similar policies.
“Regardless of where you are politically, I think everyone can agree that high voter turnout is critical to our democracy,” said Dany Bouchedid, Founder & CEO of COLOTRAQ. “We wanted to be part of the solution however small the direct impact might be. We certainly hope we can inspire other companies to adopt similar policies and have this become a trend.”
According to the Pew Research Center, the United States ranks 26th out of 32 developed countries in percentage of voter turnout at around 56%. The leading countries on that list regularly see upwards of 90% of their voting age population turnout to vote.
