COLOTRAQ, global sourcing advisory firm and master agency for colocation, managed hosting, cloud and related network services, has announced that Mark Goebel has joined COLOTRAQ as its Vice President of Cloud and Cybersecurity Program Management.
Mark Goebel has been leading CIO3, a strategic partner of COLOTRAQ, delivering an enterprise cyber security planning service. In his 27-year career as an experienced IT executive, Mr. Goebel has been responsible for more than 50 data center and cloud services transitions of all sizes to support business goals and to optimize IT resources and budgets.
Goebel comes to COLOTRAQ with an extensive record in IT leadership. As the VP of IT for TM Forum, Mr. Goebel led TM Forum’s internal digital transformation by architecting several cloud platform acquisitions and upgrades. The pinnacle of the digital transformation effort was the delivery of the platform As-a-service for community engagement where 900 businesses with tens of thousands of employees came to collaborate on digital R&D.
Goebel also spearheaded the technology strategy and new technologies development and delivery for the Girl Scouts of the USA. As a part of this role, Goebel developed relationships with key technology partners who developed and supported Girl Scouts programs.
“As a response to the increasing demand from our clients and channel partners for solutions that span across physical and virtualized data center environments, we knew that we needed to have these capabilities in house in order to handle complex multi-platform projects,” said Dany Bouchedid, founder and CEO of COLOTRAQ. “We are very excited to have found an enterprise level CIO with Mark’s pedigree to take on this role.”
Goebel said, “I am excited to join COLOTRAQ at this time, where my technology knowledge and experience can be impactful to COLOTRAQ’s clients and channel partners as they consider their IT strategy.”
Having served in the US Air Force early in his career, Goebel led the data transformation team on the Air Force HR and Payroll systems design project in 2013-14 as an experienced civilian data design/data quality expert.
Since 1999, COLOTRAQ has been helping find data center infrastructure solutions for businesses and institutions worldwide through its network of over 400 service providers in over 1,300 cities across 140 countries and territories.
