Mavenir Secures $155M in Funding to Accelerate Product Adoption

Mavenir, a U.S.-based supplier of end-to-end, cloud-native mobile network software, has successfully completed a $155 million funding round. With the deal, $250 million has been raised in strategic capital overall since July 2022. The funding would enhance the company’s financial sheet significantly and support Mavenir’s innovation-focused strategy, allowing for sustained investment in products with high potential for growth.

Mavenir is a global network services company that has established ‘Centres of Excellence and Innovation’ as well as ‘NFV/SDN Cloud Innovation Centres’ across the world.

Koch Strategic Platforms, a division of Koch Industries, will continue to have a significant minority stake in the company, while Siris, a top private equity firm with a technology concentration, will continue to own the bulk of the equity.

The announcement follows the news of Mavenir opening an Open RAN Centre of Excellence in Germany, further increasing the company’s European capabilities. The engineering, planning, design, systems integration, as well as implementation of Open Radio Access Networks will be provided to European Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) via this Centre of Excellence. It will have a Bonn headquarters and satellite offices in Düsseldorf and Munich.

It joins Mavenir’s Open vRAN, 5G, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), open virtualized Multi Radio Access Technology (vMRAT), and software/system design for Open RAN Radio Units Centres throughout EMEA. The company’s NFV/SDN Cloud Innovation Centres are located in North America, India, and Asia Pacific.
