Megaport Appoints IT Industry Vet Jim Brinksma to the Executive Team as CTO

Global Network as a Service (NaaS) provider Megaport has appointed Jim Brinksma as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to its leadership team. Megaport’s worldwide technology and engineering organizations will be led by Mr. Brinksma, who will also be in charge of the company’s innovation plan.

Jim Brinksma has 20 years of expertise in business IT, telecommunications, financial services, and blockchain. Brinksma was most recently the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of InnovoEdge, which was bought by Megaport in 2021. He worked at Ciena BluePlanet and Goldman Sachs before joining Megaport as a technology leader. Mr. Brinksma also served in the US Navy for almost seven years and holds a PhD from the University of Maryland.

The Launch of Megaport ONE

Based in New Jersey, USA, Brinksma will report to Megaport’s CEO, Vincent English.
