Megaport Enters into Distribution Agreement with Arrow Electronics

Worldwide Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider, Megaport, has established a distribution deal with Arrow Electronics, a global value-added distributor. Megaport’s global, private Software Defined Network (SDN) platform will be made available through ArrowSphere. The agreement would allow companies to modernize their networks and drive digital transformation.

“Bringing Megaport’s leading NaaS platform into the Arrow Electronics portfolio makes it easier for customers to modernize their network connectivity and connect quickly to leading cloud service providers,” said Rodney Foreman, Chief Revenue Officer at Megaport. “Arrow’s global scale and reach, combined with their expertise in IT solutions, makes them ideal to expand and deepen our channel relationships.”

By using Megaport, Arrow clients would be able to enjoy the following benefits:

  • Reduced jitter and latency, resulting in improved network performance
  • When compared to Internet rates, cloud egress prices to cloud on-ramps were lower
  • Without requiring any hardware, point-and-click network setup supports connections between branch sites, data centers, cloud providers, and IT services
  • Provisioning virtual network infrastructure and links in real time
  • More than 360 service providers, 700+ equipped data centers, and 230+ cloud interconnect points are all accessible via secured, private hybrid cloud and multicloud connections

“Bringing Megaport’s NaaS platform into the Arrow Electronics portfolio makes it easier for clients to modernize their network connectivity and connect quickly to leading CSPs,” said Rodney Foreman, Chief Revenue Officer at Megaport.

Arrow’s worldwide channel ecosystem aggregates the world’s finest technologies and services. ArrowSphere, the company’s cloud management platform, would simplify the IT purchasing process by linking these technologies with thousands of channel partners via a comprehensive cloud catalog and consumption management features.

Businesses can create a worldwide, high-availability network in minutes, not months, using Megaport. Megaport’s NaaS technology connects to the world’s largest cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), in a private, scalable, on-demand manner. The company’s technologies would make it possible to have agile, flexible, high-performance networking for a fraction of the expense of traditional techniques.
