Cavern Technologies, a data center services provider specializing in the development, leasing, and operation of build-to-suit wholesale data centers in the Kansas City region, has added Megaport’s Software Defined Network (SDN) to its customer offerings.
Megaport’s global SDN includes over 220 data center Points-of-Presence (PoPs) and enables on-demand and “elastic” interconnection to clouds, networks, enterprises, and managed services.
“This gives our customers more opportunities to connect with leading clouds,” said Sean Khurana, President, and COO of Cavern Technology. “Megaport also provides customers a safe and fast way to set up hybrid cloud systems and applications.”
As a global Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider, Megaport enables secured, direct connectivity to an ecosystem of over 250 service providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS Cloud), Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud, as well as hundreds of other managed and network service providers.
Multi-Cloud Solutions
Customers of Cavern Technologies can access Megaport’s web-based portal to provision network services “in seconds” and scale bandwidth instantly to dynamically increase and decrease capacity as needed. They are also able to use Megaport Cloud Router (MCR) to create “high-performance” multi-cloud and cloud-to-cloud solutions without the need to directly manage IP network infrastructure.
“As our industry evolves, we are always looking to find products and services that will address the ever-changing needs of our customers,” said John Clune, CEO of Cavern Technologies. “Megaport is a leader in NaaS and its SDN supports hybrid cloud connections, which will allow our customers to continue to grow.”
On-Demand Connectivity
Megaport joins other service providers as part of Cavern Technologies’ partner program. Cavern Technologies is offering their customers these strategic partnerships with multiple service providers so they can choose the provider connectivity that best aligns with their needs.
“To stay competitive in a cloud-enabled world, it’s critical data centers have access to an ecosystem of leading cloud and managed service providers,” said Vincent English, CEO of Megaport. “Cavern Technologies customers will benefit from Megaport’s ability to provide direct, on-demand connectivity that aligns with cloud consumption models. As more enterprises are integrating public cloud providers as part of their IT strategy, direct connectivity has become critical to ensuring performance, security, and scalability.”
Megaport is an Alibaba Cloud Technology Partner, Oracle Cloud Partner, AWS Technology Partner, AWS Networking Competency Partner, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute Partner, Google Cloud Interconnect Partner, IBM Direct Link Cloud Exchange provider, and Salesforce Express Connect Partner.
