Immersion cooling specialist Asperitas has added data center industry veteran Peter Uelen to its management team as Chief Commercial Officer. Mr. Uelen has an extensive background in the data center industry. He previously held management positions with IBM, Lucent Technologies, Schneider Electric and Vertiv.
Peter brings over 30 years of experience in developing and managing international business and teams in IT, telecom and data center infrastructure industries.
A common thread in Peter Uelen’s career is the introduction of new technologies.
“The Asperitas Immersed Computing technology is very innovative. It’s not only an enabler for next generations of IT hardware, but it will also strongly contribute to a more sustainable data center industry,” said Peter Uelen. “We are in a position to continue our leadership in the immersion cooling market, with a strong and focused product portfolio validated by enterprise level users and strategic partners like Shell to enable carbon neutral data centers globally.”
Peter is passionate about customers and building successful teams and holds a Masters degree in Business Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Global Partners and Customers
“We’re happy and proud to announce Peter’s appointment to the team,” said Rolf Brink, CEO of Asperitas. “We have arrived at a crucial phase of scaling up and working with global partners and customers. We trust that his experience, knowledge and network will be of great value to Asperitas.”
In 2018, Asperitas won the international New Energy Challenge competition organized by Shell, Rockstart and YES!Delft. As a Dutch clean and high-tech scale-up, Asperitas develops and markets Immersed Computing a technology based on immersion liquid cooling to enable data centers to function in a sustainable manner, even for the most demanding users and environments.
