Indy Telcom Center, an innovative provider of data storage and seamless interconnected networks, has been acquired by Netrality Data Centers. Netrality will now own and manage carrier hotels in six locations throughout the United States, allowing its clients to take advantage of new interconnection and colocation options.
Netrality will hold roughly 205,000 square feet of space in Indianapolis through the acquisition, spread over 11 buildings on a 9-acre site dedicated to wholesale and powered shell tenants, as well as fiber consumers.
Lumen, Crown Castle, Telia Carrier, Windstream, Zayo, and US Signal are among the 13 metro network providers and seven long-haul network operators available on the campus. The present management team will continue to lead the data center colocation company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Strategic Midwest Position
Indy Telcom’s strategic Midwest position provides connection to Chicago, St. Louis, Columbus, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh, making it a “preferred” data center for telecom firms and corporate clients. Indy Telcom, with its headquarters in downtown Indianapolis, is well shielded from hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural catastrophes, making it an ideal location for business continuity.
“Indy Telcom Center is an exceptional data center campus that expands our ability to provide interconnection and strategic colocation to businesses dependent on ultra-low latency data processing across the Midwest,” said Gerald M. Marshall, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Netrality Data Centers. “We are pleased at the opportunity to further expand our footprint and accelerate business growth in the robust, network-rich, region.”
For Netrality Data Centers, legal assistance was provided by Kurtz & Revness, PC, while the transfer was facilitated by Morrissey Realty. Indy Telecom’s legal counsel was Blackwell, Burke & Ramsey, P.C.
