Untangle, a provider of an integrated suite of cybersecurity software and appliances headquartered in Silicon Valley, has appointed Netherlands-based BIT as a strategic value-added distributor. This partnership would continue Untangle’s expansion into the European market to service small-to-medium and distributed enterprises with “cost-effective” network security solutions while leveraging BIT’s experience in the space.
Untangle offers complete network security solutions that help managed services providers and resellers build out their product portfolios. Untangle’s unified threat management solution, NG Firewall, would be easy to deploy and provide clients with bulletproof protection from ransomware, malware, hacking attempts, phishing schemes, spam and inappropriate and dangerous sites and apps.
BIT is specialized in (green) colocation, Internet connections, managed hosting and outsourcing for corporate Internet users. Located in the city of Ede in the Netherlands, the company would distinguish itself through a high level of knowledge, years of experience and a pragmatic approach.
“In addition to being a value-added distributor, BIT‘s experience as a data center and network security expert provides unparalleled customer experiences,” said Scott Devens, chief executive officer (CEO) of Untangle. “BIT’s customer service, as well as corporate services, allow them to untangle the complexity of information technology and implement proper application of technologies in a coherent way and align them with customer needs. We’re excited to work with them to expand Untangle’s portfolio of award-winning network security products.”
‘Common Technological Visions’
“We are very happy to be partnering with Untangle,” said Arjen Steinfort Schaap and Cristiaan Brans, Managers of Channel and Strategic Partnerships at BIT. ” This partnership between Untangle and BIT goes beyond traditional software distribution. We truly share common technological visions and as such are very excited to be working closely together. We are confident that together we can provide first-class security solutions that will manage and secure the increasingly complex environments of our customers in a simple and intuitive way.”
