Network Connex, a Chicago based provider of network deployment solutions for fiber optics, data centers, hyperscale cloud, wireless, and video networks, with operations in Europe and the United States, has acquired Advantage Engineers to gain control over the U.S. West Coast Market. Advantage Engineers has substantial operations on the U.S. East Coast and on the West Coast, where it goes to market through its Synergy brand.

The clients of Network Connex include hyper scale cloud companies, network service providers, Fortune 500 enterprises, data center operators, cable MSOs, and wireless service providers. The solutions provided by the company consist of data center infrastructure deployment, fiber optics installation, wireless engineering and installation, splicing, and testing that is performed with the help of Professional and Engineering Services, Data, Center, Fiber Construction and Wireless Service Lines.

Talking about Advantage Engineers, it is based in Colombia, MD, and is a national design and engineering firm that offers innovative solutions to telecommunications infrastructure projects. The company also has a stronghold in operations on the East Coast and the West Coast, where it is recognized via its Synergy brand. The organization offers its services in more than 18 locations and around 300 highly trained staff and Professional Engineers (PE). Financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed.

Advantage Engineers provides specialized solutions like planning and surveying, structural, civil, and electrical engineering, site acquisition, construction management, inspection, verification, zoning, and permitting for both fiber and wireless deployments.

From now on, Advantage Engineers will work under Network Connex and it will serve as the backbone of the latter’s Engineering and Professional Service Line and complementing Network Connex’s existing data center, wireless, fiber, and construction service lines. It has been confirmed that Advantage Engineers will maintain both the brands including Synergy and the parent brand.

Covering West Coast and Mid-Atlantic Regions

Jim Estes, CEO of Network Connex, said that Advantage Engineers is perfectly compatible with the strategies of Network Connex to expand the professional and engineering services capabilities and add new strength to the nationwide footprint. He further said that this acquisition will help Network Connex in covering the West Coast and the Mid-Atlantic Region. He concluded his statement by saying that both companies combined, will focus on providing better services to the customers along with end-to-end solutions from the initial engineering and design via construction, ongoing maintenance, and upgrades over fiber, wireless infrastructure, and data centers.

On the other hand, Advantage Engineers CEO John McGrath said that they are happy to join the Network Connex family and can already see a plethora of opportunities to grow their business by joining other Network Connex service lines and organically in order to serve the customers with a better approach.

Network Connex, as a company, is looking forward to spread its operations across the country. Earlier on, it acquired Vertical Communications, LLC (VERTICOM) to expand its Wireless, Construction Service, and Fiber lines to offer turnkey solutions to the leading wireless, small cell, and fiber providers in the South-Central United States. The company also acquired Precision Design Service in June 2020 to expand its fiber service line in the greater New York area.
