Neustar Broadens Global Security Network by Adding Data Center in Dubai

Dubai

This October, a new regional DDoS mitigation and application security data center will be opened in Dubai by Neustar Security Services, a global provider of cloud-based security services that help big organizations thrive online. Neustar Security Services’ expansion into the Middle East would meet a rising need for local security presence that can guarantee data sovereignty and low latency performance for clients in the area.

Neustar Security Services claims to operate one of the largest and best-connected distributed denial of service (DDoS) and application security networks in the world. The network would be strengthened thanks to the addition of the additional Dubai node to the company’s network infrastructure.

“As a thriving financial and commercial hub, Dubai is home to many new and expanded businesses which have contributed to heightened demand for local security that can ensure data remains safely within the region,” said Carlos Morales, Senior Vice President, Solutions at Neustar Security Services. “By deploying this new state-of-the-art data center, Neustar Security Services will provide low latency access to cutting-edge solutions and features that address a host of risks in today’s complex and ever-evolving threat environment.”

“Dubai is home to many new and expanded businesses which have contributed to heightened demand for local security that can ensure data remains safely within the region,” said Carlos Morales, SVP Solutions at Neustar Security Services.

Neustar Security Services’ DDoS scrubbing capacity, which is already over 12 Tbps worldwide, is further strengthened by the Dubai node. The new data center will offer Middle Eastern clients local end-to-end defense against the most frequent DDoS attacks that put the infrastructure and web-based services at risk, such as the OWASP top 10 threats, volumetric DDoS, and application-level DDoS attacks.

“Our new Dubai node is just the latest in a series of significant investments in scaling our global cloud capacity and capability,” said Colin Doherty, CEO at Neustar Security Services. “We look forward to continuing to demonstrate our commitment to customers and partners around the world in delivering the industry’s premier cloud security service.”

Neustar Security Services’ most recent expansion is a natural extension of its continued dedication to enhancing their ‘Ultra Secure’ line of products. For more than five years, the company has channeled resources into re-architecting its platforms and significantly expanding its network capacity as well as its performance for domain name system (DNS) and DDoS services. In order to meet the growing need for application security, it has integrated new options for cloud WAF and bot control into its ‘Ultra Secure’ family of services.

An international clientele of businesses is supported by Neustar Security Services. In order to offer customers the best security possible in a threat environment that is always changing, its network of scrubbing centers is placed strategically throughout the global internet backbone.
