OS developer CloudLinux has announced that the latest release of Imunify360 includes a new malware scanning engine. The company claims that its latest anti-malware engine outperforms other virus-scanning technologies used in the hosting industry by as much as 20%.
Malware infection would be a top concern for the web servers of hosting providers’ customers. Imunify360 addresses this major issue by automatically scanning file systems for malware and quarantines infected files.
“Our latest release shows significantly better malware scanning results than most popular free or paid solutions we have seen used in hosting industry,” said Igor Seletskiy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CloudLinux OS. “Imunify360’s new malware scanning engine was tested against several commercial engines, as well as free engines, and our scanner detects up to 20% more malware.”
Imunify360 is a security solution built for Linux VPS hosting, dedicated servers, and shared web hosting, and it uses herd immunity and the six-layer approach to provide total protection against attacks. It includes key security features such as advanced firewall, malware scanning (antivirus), IDS/IPS protection, reputation management, and much more, all integrated into a customer’s control panel.
Imunify360 runs on CentOS 6 & 7, and CloudLinux OS 6 & 7 distributions. It supports cPanel and Plesk control panels.
