Arvixe, a web hosting provider established in 2003 and headquartered in Los Angeles, has launched new virtual private servers (VPSs). These VPS hosting plans, called VPSClass, come in unmanaged and fully managed flavors.
According to the company, the VPSClass Lite plan is a web hosting package that offers virtual private servers that aren’t fully managed. This form of VPS hosting does not come with a cPanel/WHM control panel. This basic package is available at a more affordable price.
Linux and Windows VPS
Arvixe is also offering managed VPS services including their standard VPSClass package as well as a VPSClass pro package. These VPS hosting plans are fully managed and being made available with cPanel/WHM Control Panel fully configured. All virtual machines run on the most recent version of CentOS 6.5 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
The VPS Hosting technology offered by Arvixe runs Hyper-V, a hypervisor-based form of technology that provides the user with a more real form of hardware virtualization, as well as an increased level of isolation from the other users who are utilizing the same sever. Arvixe hopes that this will enable customers to benefit from a true dedicated environment when utilizing their virtual private servers.
