AiNET, a ‘mission critical’ IT solutions provider and owner, operator of certified Tier 4 data centers, has announced the acquisition of One Market Center in Baltimore, MD. The $20 Million ‘telecom-hotel’ purchase will grow to serve as a premier AiNET data center while it would already support many major telecommunication companies.
Situated over the Howard Street tunnel and as an established communications gateway between Northern Virginia to New York and Europe, the data center facility would directly underpin over 25% of the world’s traffic flows. The facility is currently built with over 75MW of power redundantly provided by 4 citywide network grids.
Existing networks in the One Market Center facility include: Level 3 Communications, XO Communications, Comcast, Cogent, FiberLight, Windstream, Zayo, Believe Wireless, Verizon, E911, Internet2, and countless other general, wireless and special purpose networks.
All of AiNET’s services will immediately be available all customers of One Market Center. These services include: additional dark fiber throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia, Trusted Storage-as-a-service (TSaaS), AiNET Managed Services, HIPAA, FedRAMP and FISMA compliant services, and dedicated Cybersecurity SOC/NOC capabilities.
AiNET is continuously increasing their number of data centers, and adding buildings to protected fiber communications networks for enhanced reliability and security. Existing AiNET customers include the Department of Defense, Department of Labor, Securities and Exchange Commission, Level 3 Communications, Cogent Communications, Comcast, Cox and many others.
