Canadian Web Hosting Expands its Operations on the West Coast, Doubles Existing Data Center Capacity

Managed hosting provider Canadian Web Hosting is partnering with colocation provider Backbone Data Vault to expand its operations on the Canadian West Coast. The Vancouver, British Columbia data center expansion is in response to accelerated growth of their web hosting and cloud hosting services and to improve reliability and performance for their hosting services on the West Coast of Canada.

Canadian Web Hosting is becoming one of the first customers in the new data center campus of Backbone Data Vault on the West Coast. Backbone Data Vault’s Vancouver data center is set within a 10,000 square foot custom facility, including of 3,000 square feet of server cabinet space, electrical distribution, cooling, and backup UPS and diesel generator systems. The facility is located near the Olympic Village, on the southeast side of False Creek, adjacent to the Vancouver downtown core.

Data Center Canada

The doubling of existing data center capacity means Canadian Web Hosting will expand its data center presence in Canada to four locations across Canada. The Vancouver, BC expansion follows Canadian Web Hosting’s recent data center expansion in Toronto back in March.
