CloudOps, a hybrid cloud company and managed services provider, has selected Cologix’s Montreal data center (MTL 7) at 1155 Robert-Bourassa to support the launch of its newest offering, cloud.ca.
To facilitate the cloud.ca introduction, CloudOps expanded into the MTL 7 data center, which annexes the carrier hotel’s connectivity via Metro Connect services that ride the dark fiber ring that connects all seven of Cologix’s Montreal data centers. By outsourcing critical IT infrastructure to a professionally managed colocation facility, CloudOps can go to market faster with a fully resilient supply chain, all the way through to the power supply. This focus and flexibility would be a differentiator for CloudOps in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
“For a cloud provider like us, finding the right data center provider is a key decision,” said Pierre-Luc Bisaillon, Chief Operating Officer (COO), CloudOps. “It’s like the foundation of a house – Cologix provides the infrastructure as a base layer for CloudOps to offer a top quality product that requires a top quality data center. Cologix is also focused on colocation and not competing with us, which is important from the philosophy of true colocation partnership to support the strong growth of our business.”
Founded in 2005, CloudOps was a top ranked application-centric cloud company on Deloitte’s 2014 Technology Fast 50. Deloitte’s award is an annual ranking of the fastest growing technology companies based on levels of growth, innovation, market attractiveness and competitive advantage. CloudOps has been showing a 236 percent revenue growth over a five-year period.
Cologix operates densely connected, strategically located colocation facilities in Columbus, Dallas, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Minneapolis, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
