Colocation and IP Network Provider 123.Net Announces Acquisition of MICA.Net’s Customers

123.Net, Inc., a Southfield, Michigan-based provider of voice, data, and colocation infrastructure services to enterprises, carriers, and ISPs, has completed the acquisition of MICA’s (Michigan Internet Communications Association) customers.

MICA, a 20 year old company was one of the first Regional Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Southeastern Michigan. The company has been providing voice, data, and colocation infrastructure services to enterprises, carriers, ISPs, and technology companies for over 15 years. Over 80 percent of MICA’s clients are Fortune-1000 corporations, including some of Michigan’s largest architectural, automotive supplier, financial, and government institutions.

123.Net currently operates a 50Gbps+ IP network connected to multiple global transit carriers, including Level 3, Savvis, Cogent, Comcast and others. Four metro fiber rings and long-haul fiber networks span over 2,100 route miles and covers over 70 nodes across Michigan.
