Hosting Provider Limestone Networks Adds Intel E3-1200 V3 Based Dedicated Servers

Limestone Networks announces the addition of Intel Xeon E3-1200 V3 based dedicated servers to its hosting product portfolio. The Dallas-based, on-demand dedicated server provider, expects that Intel’s new V3 version of its E3-1200 series processor will offer numerous upgrades to its V2 predecessor.

The brand new V3 version of Intel would gain in CPU performance, CPU performance per watt, and graphics performance, according to Limestone Networks.

The dedicated server hosting provider sees the following updates to the processor model  as the most important ones:

  • Haswell microarchitecture. Intel’s industry-leading 22nm 3-D Tri-Gate transistor technology.
  • 12% increase in general CPU performance.
  • 12% increase in media and CAD application performance.
  • Intel Rapid Storage Technology enterprise 3.x.
  • Intel Platform Protection Technology (with BIOS Guard).

Regarding the new dedicated servers, Matt West, Sales Manager for Limestone Networks said, “We’re very excited to launch the new Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 V3 product family. These processors deliver outstanding performance at a great value. Their enhanced efficiency and reliability make these procs a must buy!”

Dallas-based Dedicated Servers and Cloud

Limestone Networks is doing well as a provider of dedicated servers to resellers, VPS and shared hosts, cloud hosts, gamers, and other clients. In May, the Dallas-based hosting provider has agreed with Silicon Valley Bank on terms that provides Limestone Networks with a generous infusion of cash. This financing has produced marked improvements to inventory counts, assisted with infrastructure upgrades and helped fund a number of other endeavors.

The dedicated server provider expects to release the full production version of its cloud hosting platform in Q4, 2013. The beta version of Limestone Networks’ cloud hosting platform is currently in testing. Another important development for the company is its planned soon-release of enterprise DDoS mitigation. The system that Limestone Networks is implementing offers three levels of attack filtering, catching everything from large to small attacks.
