Hosting Provider ServInt Promotes Christian Dawson to President

Christian Dawson has been promoted to president of ServInt, a global provider of managed web hosting, cloud hosting and dedicated servers, founded in Northern Virginia in 1995. Dawson is a 16-year veteran of ServInt who most recently served as ServInt’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2009. He joined the organization in 1998 and serves on its board of directors.

“Christian has done a fantastic job in his role as COO,” said ServInt Founder and CEO Reed Caldwell. “His efforts have particularly shined in the areas of business development, industry outreach and thought leadership. This new role will enable him to further extend ServInt’s success in these areas and to create a path for our continued success.”

ServInt provides managed web hosting, cloud hosting services and dedicated server solutions  to businesses worldwide through data centers in North America and Europe.

In the past few years, ServInt has also taken a leadership position on issues related to Internet freedom, on behalf of its customers. Dawson speaks at events worldwide as a proponent of Internet technology policy and online consumer privacy.

vps-hosting-providers-servIntDawson began his career as a congressional staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he fueled his passion for technology policy. He joined ServInt in 1998 to become directly involved with technology and Internet entrepreneurialism.

In addition to his leadership roles at ServInt, he is the co-founder and chairman of the Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2Coalition), an Internet infrastructure industry trade association. In that role, he helps to direct efforts that protect Internet freedom and ensure that the Internet and the industry that builds it continue to survive and thrive.
