LeaseWeb, one of the world’s largest hosting brands with solutions including dedicated servers, cloud, hybrid, CDN, and colocation, has announced a strategic partnership with Northwave to expand its managed security services. LeaseWeb clients are now able to put their IT environments under the permanent protection of the Northwave Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT).

The partnership is set up to guide and advise LeaseWeb customers on all security related topics. As part of this new service, Northwave, a Netherlands-based company, will deploy Security Incident and Event Management system (SIEM) to permanently monitor client IT environments to detect cyber security breaches.

This new service would lead to improved IT security as well as compliance with ever-stricter privacy regulations, such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

“Cyber criminals are becoming more and more organized,” said Arno Witvliet, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of LeaseWeb. “That is why it is key for us to work with trusted security partners like Northwave. The services they offer fit perfectly in addressing the complex challenges our clients face every day. Northwave is ISO27001 certified and internationally recognized by CERT.OPRG.”

Tailor Made

The new security services are delivered as a tailor made extension to Leaseweb’s private cloud offerings, dedicated servers and co-location services, and available December 1st 2016.

“With the EUs GDPR companies need to control their security more pro-active,” said Marc de Jong Luneau, Commercial Director of Northwave. “They can no longer afford to be dependent on the generic and inflexible approach of the large providers. Leaseweb and Northwave offer a unique formula for company critical environments in which an intelligent security operation is essential.“
